About Us

Welcome! My name is Cassie, and this is my family. (I was actually pregnant with our 4th in this picture!)

Our journey into natural health begins, as it often does, with a child. Baby number 2 faced some health issues early on, and it made us change the way we did some things. The most obvious and long lasting of his problems was severe eczema. We saw doctors, dermatologists, and allergists, but we were not happy with any of the results. Especially considering all the side effects of what they offered.

Health Issues

Because of a minor defect, we ended up in the hospital with our second baby at 2 weeks old. (Don’t worry! This issue has resolved, and is no longer a problem. We consider ourselves blessed that it wasn’t more serious.)

It Began

We started seeing problems with his skin at about 2 months. We assumed it was a side effect of the medication they gave him in the hospital so early. It saved his life! But now we had to deal with the issues it left behind.

Baby Cheeks

It continued to get worse. We saw some improvements with prescriptions from the dermatologist, only for it to flare back up again.

Happy Baby

He was a happy, healthy, growing baby in every other way! But often all I could see was the problem with his skin.

Rollercoaster

We were back and forth with skin issues for the next 2 years, working with multiple dermatologists, allergists, and our pediatrician.

Changing our Mindset

As eager as we were for a “quick fix,” it was obvious that wasn’t happening. So we took a different approach. We focused on healing from the inside. Sounds easy enough, right?? But it takes time. And it was hard to watch his discomfort in the meantime. So that’s when I started researching more natural ways to address skin problems.

And Now…

While our little guy still has occasional skin flares, now we have some really great tools to help resolve it quickly.

New Challenges

Of course, as he gets older, we find ourselves facing all kinds of new problems! There’s never a shortage of bumps, scrapes, and bruises with this one.

My Reason

This is my reason to keep trying new things. Every stage has its own challenges, and I’m always looking for natural ways to keep them healthy as they grow!
